Description
The TJA1145T/FD is a high speed CAN FD transceiver from NXP. It provides an interface between a Controller Area Network protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. This component is in an SO14 package and is suitable for automotive and industrial network applications.
This transceiver supports data rates up to 2 Mbps. It implements the CAN physical layer as defined in ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-4. The device features an SPI interface for transceiver control and status reporting. It supports ISO 11898-2:2016 compliant CAN Partial Networking with a selective wake-up function known as FD-passive, which allows the transceiver to ignore CAN FD frames while in Sleep or Standby mode.
Power management includes very low current Standby and Sleep modes with full wake-up capability. Wake-up can be triggered remotely using a CAN wake-up pattern or a selective wake-up frame, or locally via the WAKE pin. The I/O levels are automatically matched to voltage levels from 3.3 V to 5 V for direct interfacing with microcontrollers.
The device offers robust protection with ±8 kV ESD protection on the CAN bus pins per the Human Body Model and ±6 kV ESD protection on the BAT, WAKE and CAN pins per IEC 61000-4-2. The CAN bus pins are short-circuit proof up to ±58 V. Both battery and bus connections are protected against transients per ISO 7637-3. It is suitable for 12 V and 24 V systems and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
Diagnostic functions include an SPI interface for configuration and fault reporting, a transmit dominant time-out function, overtemperature warning and shutdown, and undervoltage detection on all supply pins. The bus connections remain floating when the supply is switched off. This part is new and unused. Part number TJA1145T/FD.
