Description
The Texas Instruments TPS92630-Q1 is an automotive-grade three-channel linear LED driver. It is qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for harsh automotive environments. The device is packaged in a thermally enhanced 16-pin HTSSOP package.
It operates from an input voltage range of 5 V to 40 V. Each channel provides up to 150 mA of adjustable constant output current, set by an external reference resistor. The output current accuracy is plus or minus 1.5 percent per channel above 30 mA. Channels can be paralleled for a total output current up to 450 mA. The maximum dropout voltage is 400 mV at 60 mA and 0.9 V at 150 mA.
The device features analog and independent PWM dimming for each channel. It includes comprehensive diagnostic and protection functions. These are open-circuit detection, short-circuit detection, single-LED short feedback per channel, and thermal shutdown. Fault reporting is provided through a dedicated FAULT pin. Up to 15 devices can be connected on a parallel fault bus.
Typical applications are automotive daytime running lights, position lights, fog lamps, taillights, brake lights, and interior lighting systems. The part number is TPS92630QPWPRQ1.
