The Hewlett Packard (HP / Agilent) 05890-60015 Rev C is the main printed circuit board (PCB) for the HP 5890 Series II gas chromatograph (GC). It contains core instrument electronics, including the power supplies, CPU, analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue conversion, clock circuits and general control functions.

Tested and working. This board was removed from a decommissioned HP 5890 GC that was operating correctly before being taken out of service. The board has been tested and confirmed functional.

Function and connections

The main PCB coordinates key functions of the 5890 Series II GC. Its circuits support instrument control and connect with other electronic assemblies, including detector boards, pressure control, communications, temperature sensors, oven-flap motor and valve-control circuits. The service manual also documents an additional heated zone and two AC-valve control functions on this board compared with the original 05890-60010 design.
