Description
The Agilent G1531-60020 FID interface board provides the electrical interface between the flame ionization detector (FID) assembly and the main electronics of compatible Agilent gas chromatographs. Designed for the 6820 and 6890 GC series, the board mounts on the instrument’s main board and connects to the detector assembly through a ribbon cable, with a separate connection for the FID ignitor.
Function in the GC system
A flame ionization detector measures the ion current generated when compounds eluting from the GC column pass through a hydrogen-air flame. This current forms the detector response recorded by the chromatography data system. The G1531-60020 is the interface board that connects the FID assembly to the instrument electronics.
