Description
The Allegro ACS733KLATR-40AB-T is a galvanically isolated Hall-effect current sensor for AC and DC current measurement up to plus or minus 40 A. It is housed in a wide-body SOIC-16 package. The sensor provides a 1 MHz bandwidth analog output with differential Hall sensing to reject external common-mode fields. The integrated copper conduction path has a typical resistance of 1 mOhm. The device is factory trimmed for sensitivity and quiescent output voltage. It offers galvanic isolation between the current-carrying pins and the signal pins. The isolation is certified to UL60950-1 with 3.6 kVRMS dielectric strength and a 616 VRMS basic isolation working voltage. It features externally configurable overcurrent fault detection. The analog output is ratiometric and proportional to the supply voltage. The supply voltage is compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V systems. The sensor is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications. Typical uses include DC/DC converters, switch-mode power supplies, motor control, load monitoring, electric vehicle power distribution, battery management, industrial automation, energy metering, and overcurrent protection circuits.
